Tori and I met for her final session last week, we did her session at two locations here in Orford, NH. She brought her little sister to join in on the fun. Tori is a great girl with a fun, take charge attitude. She’s been a fabulous rep for me! Thank you again Tori for representing my business I appreciate all the hard work and time you’ve given to me.

Water Lilies

I seem to be on a flower kick right now.  I see a flower and I want to capture its image.  Here are a few shots of water lilies that I found on a recent kayaking trip.

Spring Paddle II

I love loons, their call is dramatic and it echoes from one end of a pond to the other it honestly sends a chill through my bones.  I’ve been going to one particular pond for a few months now because I noticed a pair of loons sitting on a nest. Two weeks ago I took my kayak back out to see if the eggs had hatched!  They had, and I was so excited about it.  Here are a few shots of the loon family I’ve been watching.

Spring Paddling

One of my favorite things to do in the spring is to take my kayak out on the local ponds.  Not only is it absolutely relaxing and peaceful I’m always seeing the beauty of nature.  This day I came around a bend of the pond and came upon a nesting loon.  What an amazingly beautiful bird these are.  As you can see she wasn’t happy I spotted her, I snapped a few shot, turned around and let her be.  I’m always in awe of what a beautiful place we call our backyard

Oxbow High School Senior Rep. Renee

I’m so happy to have Renee for my rep. from Oxbow High School!  We met in Bradford, VT for her shoot we didn’t have much time because the rain clouds were rolling in!  There was actually a tornado watch! Renee is outgoing and confident so she wasn’t at all shy in front of the camera, she was a natural!  When Renee isn’t busy with Lacrosse and Soccer she’s riding her horse.  We’ll do another shoot with her horse soon.  Thank you Renee for making your session so easy!

The Simple Things

It’s the simple things in life that count!  My niece Mason called me the other night to see if she could come down and “hang out” at 5 she wants to hang out, so cute.  And of course I jumped on the opportunity.  We had a great time; we played with the horses, threw rocks in the brook and of course took pictures.  As soon as Mason saw all my tulle and tutu’s it was all over, the light was just amazing so we chased it around my yard and got some really yummy shots.  Here are two of her favorites.
Thanks Mason for coming to “hang out” with Aunty.

The M. Family

Karla and Ahmet and their beautiful girls came for a photo session last week, (the session was actually for Aubry but I couldn't resist getting some family photos for them)they are a super fun family and the weather was amazing.  I think it was in the high 60’s or even low 70’s!  And we still had snow on the ground.  We did some of Aubrey’s photos in studio and then decided to get out in the fresh air!  I love shooting in the natural light and who doesn’t love to be outside on a glorious day

Flip Flops & Lip Gloss

I’ve had the opportunity to do a few photo sessions with Kala; she’s a little spit-fire who is a photographers dream!  She’s not only beautiful, she’s a blast to work with.  Kala won a modeling contest for a clothing and accessory line called Flip Flops & Lip Gloss and she asked me to photograph her in their products for their website/Facebook site.  Below are a few images from our session.  Thank you Kala for asking me to work with you on this assignment!

Senior Rep Program!

Calling all 2012 high school seniors!

It’s senior rep time—time to get some awesome FREE portraits made and spread the word about Cara Dyke Photography!  I’m looking for outgoing 2012 seniors (which means you’re currently a junior) to represent Cara Dyke Photography at your school.  If you have a positive attitude and think you can work it in front of the camera, I want to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to have your senior portraits done for FREE.

I need guys and girls—looking for at least one from each local high school.
